Need excellent Mechanic in Phoenix AZ

Hi everyone, I have a 1984 380SL Mercedes Benz and I could really use some help with finding a good mechanic in Phoenix.

Could you please give me some suggestions on who to call?

Also could you please help me to give me some direction on what is causing the problems that I am having below?

1. The car seems to die at idle, basically it just shuts down and you cant start it back up again for about 2 hours. The last time it happened to me was yesterday, in Phoenix, The temperature was around 105 I would say and I was putting air in my tires and it just died. There is plenty of cranking power, with a brand new battery. I was able to get it to turn over about 2 hours later. Any ideas? What to look for?

2. The A/C is working intermitently. Basically, the fan motors will cycle off and on off and on, and then some times it will just stop for a few minutes and then stay on for a few minutes. When it is going back and forth it seems that by simply depressing the power window switch it will shut off. Or by wiggling the temp dial, or pushing the fan switch it will go off and on. What type of electrical gremlin am I facing here?

Thanks for your help,

Rodney

For good mechanics

1. You might be overheating, having some problems with your cooling system. Also you could have vacuum or fuel hose leak some where. It could be many things, more specific info is needed.

2. It could be you ac compressor clutch.

Does it work when your at a stop or when your driving? More info is needed.
