Smile Mercedes Benz 560 surges

hi there all i have a 560 sel 90. in the morning i start the car all is well as soon as the car gets to normal temp it starts surge at all speeds, if i put my foot down it takes off but when i am just driving it surges all the time. has any one have info on a problem like this, im thinking coil lead or even the coil ideas thanku

Why coil? I would look at air-flow measurement first.

600-700 rpm is about right for idle.

The idle air control solenoid (in front of your air cleaner) might be worth a look if your car has the dreaded high idle that often plagues the 560

no it idles very low around 500 and not smooth, all leads being changed.

560 Surge

My 2 cents: Problem cruise controller also causes surge at all speeds when driving; easy solution if you don't mind lack of cruise control is to disconnect the cruise control electrical plug in at the back of the speedometer (need to pull out the instrument cluster to reach).
