reset oil wrench light
 

To whom it concerns,
I have a98 c280 sport mercedes i just changed the oil and the foreign mechanic does not know how to reset the wrench he told me mercedes dealer could do it

then when i went there they told me i would have to do another oil change and for them to view it. i had most of my service there it was tuned, brakes, but then my double charged me for the same oxygen senor.. then i went to another mercedes dealer and they said the old senor was fine. so since i have not gone back to these dealers. maybe it's because I am a young mercedes owner.
Because then my father went in and they refunded the money. well, can you tell how upset i am.


in conclusion how can i reset the wrench light


i know you turn the key half way and hold on to 0 and unlock or something like that..

It is spelled out in the owners manual!
1) key off, all doors closed.
2) key on, push button two times.
3) key off, push and hold button and turn key on , wait 15 seconds.

The button Benzmac is referring to is the 0 (zero) button. This procedure worked in my 1998 E300, but it might be different in yours. Look it up in your manual under FSS (Flexible service system)
