he bought the slk 32 AMG now we have supercharger noise
 

A friend of mine is considering buying one of these and he's wondering what to look for, most of the ones he's seen so far are Ebay so he hasn't seen them in person so what are good questions to ask and things to look for before purchasing?

The SLK 32 is only a SLK with bigger brakes & 100 more HP. The only issues would be related to normal SLK issues. Like Vario roof issues.

I always suggest an independent pre-purchase inspection by a MB technician!

The only Kompressor issues are the supercharger clutch & water pump.

Of course brake parts cost a bit more than a SLK320.

well he bought it and we drove 3000 miles from Socal to home without a hitch, however we started hearing a noise from the supercharger about 3/4 of the way home. I suspect/hope it's just the supercharger clutch considering the noise only happens below 2k rpm. How much does this part cost and is it possible as a diy fix?

it's a 2003 slk 32 with 68k on the clock

yeah in retrospect he certainly did, and although it is technically the parking brake we're also having trouble with, he didn't specify which part of the brakes could be a problem :( guess we should just go ahead and order the water pump now with this track record :P
