MPG is anywhere from 12 mpg to 20 mpg depending on gear ratios, highway speeds, stuff in trunk, EURO or USA, standard or auto, tire size, etc..

I have personally measured 14 mpg mostly city and 21 mpg all highway on my 280CE.
