Hardtop Removal '78 280 SL Euro

Bought '78 280 SL Euro model recently and am trying to remove the hard top. I have unlocked all the connectors, but the connector in the rear deck seems caught. The roof is loose and I can lift it (even the back part) but the rear prong doesn't seem to fully release so I can lift the roof off. Is there another release switch I don't know of? Does anyone have an idea on how to deal with this. Many thanks.
