I know this has been covered but....

I searched around for old articles (even went back to threads from 99 :) ) but I am still trying to gather a consensus on H&R springs versus Eibach springs. From what I could tell, most people prefer Eibach over H&R because they ride a little bit higher than the H&R's and does not screw up the car alignment. I'm looking for testimonials on either of these springs and what I should do/avoid for my 1987 300E. I am looking to eliminate the wheel gap and was wondering which springs to install so I won't have unnecessary tire wear. Woa, this is kind of a long post, but I would appreciate any advice and comments. Thanks.

although not in the same price range as Eibach and H&R...one really can't go wrong with sportline for OE quality with MB R&D behind it, but the smallish drop may not be low enough for you

Phil at partshop may be able to estimate the drop with Sportline springs and lowest MB OE spring pads
