Removal/Installation Instructions--Amber Lens Cover

1988 W124: I've hunted in vain through my WIS for step-by-step instructions on removing the amber front turn signal/side marker lens. Mine has a small break and I'm ready to install a replacement. Can someone supply basic instructions or pix from service CD? Thanks.

So simple.
Look at your new unit for the chrome spring and learn how it flexes.

Now squeeze the spring on installed unit.

Push it out.

Success!

Thanks, Kent. It's actually a gray plastic tab protruding at the fender rather than a chrome spring. But once the plastic tab is slightly flexed, it pops free and the whole light unit pulls straight off the front of the car. Installation works in reverse; align unit, push until the plastic tab snaps in securely. Done! Total time to remove old unit and install replacement: 4 minutes, including opening and closing the hood. Thanks.
