97 E320 Heater Core Temp Sensor

My climate control is stuck in the "ec" mode so I ran the A/C diagnostics published by S. Brotherton. Everything seems to check out except number 3 (Heater core temperature sensor left) which indicated an "E" for the value. Is the sensor easily replaced and where is it?

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated!
