no start and no ignition buzz ('93 w124)
 

just as I was pulling up to my house I noticed that the CE light went on. So I put it in park and waited a few seconds to see if it would go off or not.

I turned the car off, took the key out and waited a few seconds. Put the key back in, turn it to position and all warning lights come on as expected but no ignition buzz! I'm thinking uh oh... so then I turn the key to turn the starter. Starter turns but engine doesn't fire. Now i'm really thinking uh oh. I know about the hot start issue and that's something I'm going to get checked with the mechanic but the lack of ignition buzz worried me. Strangely enough, the CE light didn't come back on.

So I take the key out, wait a bit, and retry. Exact same issue. All warning lights come on, but no ignition buzz and the starter would just crank.

So finally third time, I put the key in, get all the warning lights AND the ignition buzz... staying positive... turn the key some more and car comes alive immediately as it usually does...

Any thoughts on what this could be?? :confused:

OVP relay

just found this post of mine... all signs seem to be pointing to OVP relay!
