Need help with muffler for W126
 

I have a 1989 W126 series 420SEL and I need to replace the front and center mufflers. I found brand new replacement parts but I would rather buy used ones because of the high costs.

I need to know if I can use a muffler from any model(300se,sel,560sel) within the W126 series?

Any ideas let me know

Well, until someone can answer you outright here's is an idea.
Go to www.germanstar.net/exmain.htm

Click on the first entry. This will take you to the exhaust system page.
look down the left colomn and chose a model to find the part number for the section of exhaust you want.

Back out and chose another model that you think might be compatable.
See if the part numbers match.
Do this for each section of the exhaust system you need.
