Fast Idle 1993 190e 2.6
 

I'm reposting my message with new subject.

I recently bot a 1993 190E 2.6 w/ 85k mi.

It is idling at 2000 rpm. I can unplug the two prong electrical connector on the idle control valve, breaking the circuit, then reconnecting to get it to idle correctly. It idles and runs correctly but after I shut off the engine and restart, it goes back to a fast idle.

Is this related to the Overload Protection Relay or the computer at the firewall on the passenger side?

Any tips?
