Location of fuse 64 - 2000 E320 Wagon

Hello everyone,

I have a 2000 E320 Wagon and my radio display has just gone blank - on both the head unit and the in-dash display. The radio still works perfectly, both from the head unit controls as well as the steering wheel controls.

I have done some research and have found an entry on another website about replacing "fuse 64" but I can't see a fuse number that high in my fuse guide. Does anyone know where this fuse is or if it exists?

Thanks!

Don't know if it's 'No. 64' but my Becker HU has a fuse on the back of the radio.

Thanks Richard. Do you have one of the fibre optic radios in your car? I don't know if mine is a becker or not.

They were using good old fashioned wire in 1998. I think the switch to fiber optics was in 2000. The connectors to the CD changer are noticeably different. I think if you check the stickies in the w210 forum at benzworldDOTorg there is mention of the connector (color, etc). Sorry I don't remember off hand.

I upgraded to a Becker Monza (7882) which has a fuse and I think my old radio (Becker 1692) had a fuse as well but it's gone (sold). I guess the easiest thing would be to pull your radio and look since maybe the Alpines had fuses as well.
