Opinions on S430 or S500 '04-05 models
 

Hello All,

Thoughts on technical mal-functions and reliability on S430 or S500 between '04-05 without 4matic if possible and under $28k? All the sedans that I'm looking at are under 50k miles.

Does anyone think there is a better sedan for a daily small commute driver and occasional road trip for the family(we are a big family) for next several years?

I'd say go for a W140 (although I'm a bit biased ;)). A nice '98 or '99 S500 would fit the bill nicely and be a whole lot cheaper.

I'm looking to go a little newer for the wifey and overall mouth watering aspect.

I really don't fit in the suxel very well--I'm 6'9". I like the Benz's dude.

I've actually found a few and even a couple s55amg's, but I can't make up my mind.

Its been a long time since I've had power on demand and don't know if I want to open that can of worms....LOL

Just looking out for comfort and the family so probably will just go with the ........?

I'm a pretty good DIYer and the airmatic or ABC(some s500 and the amg) might pose a problem down the road. Or, the clutch in the superchargers in the amg if I'm lucky...

Will update in a few days once I settle on something....Don't hesitate to chime in with opinions anyone..
