Shortening a new timing chain guide
In the deep recesses of my failing mind, I think I recall a thread about shortening a new plastic timing chain guide by cutting off part of it to eliminate the area where it typically breaks. I cannot remember the details or if it was a home made remedy or a Mercedes TSB. I seem to recall that this was for the 420 and/or a 560engine. Anyone have any further info about what I think I remember?
Thanks.
