Hi. My keyless entry has never worked. There are no electronics inside the plastic key case. Any idea how much MB will charge for a replacement? Thanks.

For the remote key?? The style with the "switchblade" key blade right? Should probably be about $100 or a bit less more than likely. I think the new process for getting a replacment key is that you actually have to brong the car into the dealer when you pick it up. Just an FYI

Well that sounds reasonable but will the new key be matched with the exisiting security/keyless system? I mean, they should be able to reprogram it or whatever to get it working again?

Someone else told me the only way to replace the key is to replace the ignition. Guess I'll just go to MB and see what they say. Thanks.
