190E 2.6 part identification
So this morning I was checking my oil and coolant and as always did a look-around the engine bay while I was at it. On the passenger side of the bay, I saw this white part where two hoses attach to it. One hose came off at the nipple attachment, which broke off. What part is this and what are the consequences of driving with this detached hose? I don't know how long I've been driving the car with this hose off.

One way check valve for EGR control.
mb part 002-140-84-60 OR 116-800-03-78 plug it off until you get a replacement. |
Which end do I plug? The hose or the EGR valve thing?
Does parts shop carry this thing? Need to order some stuff anyway. |
I had the vacuum line at the other side of the "y" break and it tripped the CEL and gave a code 8 ( Altitude Pressure signal from EZL Ignition Control Unit ) and 11 ( Air Injection system ).
Fastlane shows the check valve for $14 and some change. |
