1987 420sel tranny PLEASE HELP
 

over the summer i went on a trip and after 40 mins of driving my car stopped shifting the engine just reved and wouldnt gey past 60. when i pulled over i noticed antifreeze coming from the resevor hose under the passenger side door. I let the car sit for a hour and did a u turn on my wat back the tranny shifted and didnt rev but i didnt try to go past 60. i dont know what the issue can be I heard modulator, hose, exc. any help would be great. also is there a chance if the thermostate is stuck shut that it would cause the tranny to get hot and prevent it from not shifting do to not getting antifreeze to cool it down. any help is great the car means alot to me sentamental and its ther best ride every thanks joe
