Fuel Distributor Sequential Order
I would like to know how the fuel distributor in Bosch mechanical injections system works (for Mercedes, 1980 450 SL). Does it work by distributing fuel in sequential order starting from cylinder #1 to 8? How the fuel distributor hooked up to the injectors. I can see that #1-4 on the fuel distributor are hooked up to cylinder 1-4 in order, however, #5 on the distributor is hooked up to cylinder 8 rather than #4 (according to the engine numbering system). Also #8 on the distributor is hooked up to cylinder #4. So, the distributor 4-8 is not hooked up in order to cylinder #4-8. Would it matter which # on the distributor connected to what cylinder #?
