My 300TE Head Gasket Thread (yes pics!)

I know this is probably an old thread- but in your first pictures taking it appart. I noticed the t-stat housing is the original plastic one. Replace it with a metal one as they fail.

Unfortunately I've run across the same thing on other car forums where the photos are long gone because of an ISP change.
I think they retain them for a certain amount of time on their servers after you close your account. Then delete them later to free up space.

Yeah...I figured that.
But then why not delete the whole thread?
A large part of the information provided is in the pictures....you know, "pictures worth a 1000 words" and all that.
Kind of like writing a letter with a pen with no ink.....do people still write letters?
