K2 spring kit part number?
Hi, does anyone know the original part number for the K2 spring kit equvivalent to the K1 kit (with part number 126 270 44 77) or is it available at all? I've just changed the K1 kit, and tought I'd change the K2 while at it.
Btw, its for a 722.3 transmission. Thank you in advance!

ZYB, I didn't come across it here when researching info for the K1 kit awhile back. You might try a specific search for it using all the descriptors you can think of.
just as a side note: as you know, the K1 controls the 2-3 shift, the K2 controls the 3-4 shift. On my 300SE with the 622.357, the 3-4 shift was always too firm. So, when I installed the K1 kit to firm up the 2-3 (worked great) I was able to reduce the accumulator pressure a bit, and that softened up the 3-4 shift a little; so all was good. Now, the only little issue I have is if I occasionally accelerate lightly in 2nd, then let off quickly (like in a parking lot) the tranny will shift up to 3rd with a litle thump. But it's totally liveable. Good luck. DG |

zyb,
my recommendation based on my direct experience is to just buy the superior spring shift kit which comes with all the springs you need for the most common shifting ailments. i first bought the k1, installed it, then realized i still had the shifting issues. search my thread on the superior kit and also read tangofox's posts too |

Thank you for your replies!
I will reassemble the car again and test it with the new K1 kit I installed, then adjust the modulator and eventually look at the superior kit if I still encounter problems. Is the superior kit hard to install or is it like the K1 install in difficulty? I have btw found out through a local part dealer that it does not exist a K2 kit like the K1. You have to order the parts individually. Thank you all! Great forum with a lot of experience!
