resetting "service due now" notification on odometer
1999 E300 diesel. How do I reset the "service due now" notification that is popping up everytime I start the car? Thanks.

Procedure is in owners manual.
|
1. Turn electronic key in steering lock to position 2.
2. Within the first 4 seconds after moving start switch into position "2" press button "0" twice within one second. The present status for days or distance is displayed for 10 seconds. 3. Within these 10 seconds turn electronic key in steering lock to position "0". The present status for days or distance is displayed once more. 4. Press and hold down button "0". Turn electronic key in steering lock to position "2". Continue to press button "0", approx. 10 seconds, until the signal sounds, and the display shows 10,000 miles (Canada: 15,000 km) for approx. 10 seconds. 5. Release button "0". |
/\ Make certain front door is closed first, or it wont work.

Make sure you perform the service as well so she lives long and prospers. LOL.

I bought a 2006 e350 used without an owners manual, does anybody know what service G consist of?
|
No. But you can get a Service Booklet (has all the service cycles and requirements) at a dealer. It use to be free but I don't know if it still is. While you're there order an owners manual. It's cheap.
You can call 1-800-FOR MERCedes to do the same. Or you can join mbusa.com if you are in US (it's free) and then go to owners section and download a manual. |
