W124 transmission problem
 

in my 93 300E 2.8L. my 4th gear will not let me accelerate in it. my tranny works beautifully other words, it shifts real nice into all the gears even 4th but i can not give it gas in 4th. and i have no secondary pump, it has just the one pump. i did a new fluid change and filter change then it went about a few weeks after that. I have ran out of ideas so i need other ideas. so HELP!!!! please..

jake,do you mean that when you try to accel in 4th gear that it drops down to third or that the engine accels but not the car?

The rpms just go up. But not my speed.but it will ingauge 4th.

if 4th engages but trans slips[rpms go up but no increase in speed ]then clutches worn out in rear drum.sorry but rebuild trans.
