Help! Total electrical meltdown

I had some minor body work done on my 2001 C240 at a friend's shop. When I picked it up, almost none of the electrical components were working - turning signals, seat adjusters, side mirror adjuster, keyless entry, and fuel gauge were all not functioning!!! Oddly enough, my windows work.

Now when I dropped the car off, I was experiencing none of this issues. However I truly do believe my friend (who is baffled) when he says that he can't think of any way that they might be responsible - they took off the back right door and repainted a couple of the panels.

PLEASE HELP!!!! We've checked the fuses and those look fine. I am past my scheduled maintenance "A", since I was waiting to get it done after I got my car back from the shop. Could this have something to do with it???

Sounds like a weak battery, or lack of charging from the alternator.

However the interior network may be having issues, did they cut & splice the wires going to that door? Any problem with any of the 12 computers on that network can affect 1 or more computer on that network.

I Am Sam

Just a WAG based on experience: the symptoms described sound like they could be attributed to a failed rear SAM. Try pulling the key out and disconnecting the battery. Reconnect after a minute or so. An electrical failure after the body work may be just coincidental. When all else fails, Scan It.
