OVP - Overvoltage Protection Relay, right one?

I have a 1992 300E which I believe needs new OVP (after reading threads on this site). Mine only has 1 fuse on the top, which appears to be fine. I then went to FastLane to order the part. Here's where my confusion comes.

I assume that the OVP is the same as FastLane's "overload protection relay"?

But, the description says it has (2) fuses on the top. Mine only has (1). Does this matter? Wonder why the change?

Thanks.

The one with 2 fuses IS the correct MODIFIED replacement!!

Hmm...
I ordered a new OVP for my C280 about 6 months ago from PartsShop, and it only has one fuse on it like the old one? Does this mean I got the crappy OVP again (and can expect failure in a few years!?) ?

Thx.

I bought the OVP from FastLane for my 300E and it had the two slots for fuses (like the OEM one). It uses one fuse, though.

The "crappy" unit was found to be defective many moons ago, and has been displaced from Mercedes parts shelves everywhere (except for some shady operators).

You can rest assured that your OVP is fine.

If you want to verify that you have a good one, the "bad" OEM unit would have the "Seimens" (Austria) notation on the case. Replacements do not...
