Ben

I doubt I can do this myself. I have jack stands, but dropping the tranny is no small job by myself. I don't have a tranny jack, and no experience on how to drop one.

I just spoke with the mechanic. I asked him to replace any component that need replacement since he got the tranny off. I could think of the 2 flex discs, and the rear main seal. Any more you guys could think of?

If you're in a replacing mood, how about doing that drive shaft support bearing?

are you talking about the rear bearing on the engine? Is that a problematic item? I didn't hear about this item at all.

I believe the actual name of the part is a driveshaft carrier bearing. Search this forum for 'driveshaft support' and you will get a ton of hits.
