190e Oil Pan issues in Oakland, CA

Hello!

I have a 1993 190e, 2.6 and I recently cracked my oil pan. I bought the pan and gasket from SilverStar, I'm just trying to go about the logistics of replacing it. First, I remember reading somewhere that the engine has to be lifted up just a bit in order to get the new pan in. Can someone verify this?

Second, does anyone know of a good, honest shop in or very near Oakland, CA that will replace it for a decent rate? I would like to find a place that won't give me the runaround simply because I'm a woman, and also a place that will give me a fair rate because I'm a starving college student.

Thanks in advance for any and all help you can provide me!
