300E 2.8 Transmission Swap

I need a new transmission in my car. It is a 1993 300E 2.8. Will a 1990 300E transmission fit. Will there be need for any modifications. Any advice will go a long way toward helping me.

Your transmission is a 722.433. You need to find another 722.4xx. A 1990 300E is a 722.3. A 1990 300E 2.6 is a 722.4. Why not rebuild?
