MB 229.3 oil at Walmart

Is there any MB 229.3 approved oil available at Walmart? The only stuff available around here is Mobil 1 0W/40 and the auto parts store is always out of stock. And I can't find the Castrol Euro stuff anywhere.

Shell Syn Rotella is not (its not a true syn); nor is M1 T&TD on the list although that is what I use. You ought to be able to find other M1 products to use on a gasser that surpass that spec.

Oil is such a pain.

Huh......oh well. Thought they were.

Doesn't matter, I've been running the Rotella for years in all our diesels (and now in my gasser too) with great results.

0W/40 is the only one AFAIK.

Oil is a very personal choice.....IMO, both oils you mentioned ought to exceed the requirements avail when the cars in "your" signature were produced.

Here's a link to Mobil 1 oil rebate. $2 off per quart. Limit $10 per rebate, 2 rebates per person. But you'll have to wait until April 1st to buy the oil.
