94 E320 rough idle then engine quit
 

This morning my 94 E320 suddenly rev between 500 to 1000 rpm at stop sign and engine quit the check engine light came on. This never happen before, can some one tell me what went wrong?

What went wrong ???
well, lets see....With that much info, I can come up with a long list of possibles.....but...

You may just want to give us some info to work with.

Did it re-start?
Is it out of gas ??
Did the CE stay ON ??
Does it turn over ??

That kinda stuff, ya know??

I guess the MAF sensor needs to be replaced

I guess the OVP is bad.
