2001 CLK 320 Top Hydraulic Reservoir and Temperature/Time Displays
I have a 2001 CLK 320 and am in desperate need of help for 2 questions:
1) I've read a lot of posts, but my car seems to have a different hydraulic reservoir location for the convertible top than what I've seen. Most posts are saying it's where the spare tire is, but after taking apart all the "carpet" on the sides of the trunk, I've only found a command module of some sort that's wrapped in foam. I looked at the extreme back of the trunk under the soft-top storage area where there's a slanted section covered by carpet (and directly behind the back seats) and found what looks to be the reservoir (registering about 1/2 of the full setting and obviously less than the minimum setting. My question for this problem is 1) is that the reservoir for the convertible top and 2) if so, how do I fill it; I didn't see any screw-top...
2) Second problem is the outside temperature and time dash displays. In the right lighting from the sun (around dusk), I can see both very clearly and the information is correct, so I know they are working; however, if the sun isn't shining on the dash, I can't see any kind of display. Even when it is dark out and the instrument panel is on, I can't make anything out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what's going on (backlighting, etc) and how do I go about replacing them?
Thank you very much in advance for any help; it's greatly appreciated!
