'95 E320 ABS/SRS/ECU Communication Question
I'm trying to look before I leap, planning to remove the M104 from a '95 E320 and replace it with an OM603. Question is: Will the rest of the electronic modules operate properly without the gasoline engine ECU in place?
Do the ABS and ASR modules need the M104 ECU on the data bus to operate properly? How about the Cruise Control? Does it rely on the ECU or the engine? This is a non-ASR car.
