slow fuel leak?
 

Hey folks,

I have a 84 300d with 245K and I have noticed some diesel smell over the past few months in the car. Today I Found that the rubber hose off the the fuel tank has a slow leak. How hard is that to replace? Is it just a rubber hose from the tank to the fuel filter under the hood. Also does any one have any experience with putting an auxillary fuel pump in to reduce the load off the primary?

PS I fixed the leak in the rear seat of my car.... IT was a broken weatherstrip on the front door. I know that water leaks drive poeple crazy. CHeck the integrity of the weatherstriping. I repaired mine with clear silicon.

If an auxilary fuel pump was needed, MB would have out one in the car. P E H
