SLK R170 230K A/T tranny oil recomendation
I'd like to flush the tranny oil on my 99 SLK230K A/T : what kind of oil can be used for that transmission other than the lifetime MB product?

No such thing as "lifetime" product!
Even MB now suggests every 40K mile trans fluid changes. Use MB fluid part number 001-989-45-03-10 OR 001-989-68-03-10. |
only mb. some people claim to have met or exceeded mb specs on the mb fluid, but i don't think they'd buy a trans if their fluid did not hold up. too risky for me. good luck, chuck.
