What is this part? 126 830 18 14
Any one know this part? (Pictures)
I don't know what its for, but I was changing oil on my 300SDL and found a part. It has the part number 126 830 18 (or is it 16....I can't tell) 14. Having a different engine than the M103, I don't think I have any use for this Last edited by Abadjay; 05-03-2009 at 03:12 PM. |

That'e the auxiliary coolant pump. It maintains adequate flow through the heater core when the engine is idling.

I see. Thank you! This may sound stupid, but I don't suppose I can use this on a Diesel right?

You probably can, once you switch the bracket.

It may even fit as is.....if both vehicles are W126. The aux pump unit itself is pretty much the same on all of the older cars....they made an updated kind for the W124 onward though...
