1989 300te...re-torque head...help!
I noticed some gunk on the cap of my anti-freeze resivoir. My mechanic says that after 6 years since he changed the head gasket, it couldn't hurt to re-torque. He has been busy, so he gave me his torque wrench and wants it back over the weekend. Problem is...don't know the torque ft/lb. or the sequence. HELP! 1989 300te

The headgasket is a no need of retorquing...
You can simply tighten it a bit. You would have to remove each bolt, measure stretch to make sure they are usable-then retorq it. I'd say you need a headgasket. Make sure the head is flat and no damage when it goes in... |
