w124 convertible rattle

Hello, hoping someone has experienced this but given the numbers for e320 cabriolet production I think my odds are low.

I have a 95 e320, just pruchased, with 50k miles. Today, over the washboard on the 405 near santa monica something shook loose in the head rail above the windshield, I had the top down and was hoping that when i put it up the mechanism would be back in place but no luck. Now it rattles over every bump. Anyone know how the headrail assembly comes apart? Any ideas?

Thanks

Not much in the actual headrail...
Are the latches tight when closed?
Check the area around the mirror where the lights are...

I checked the latched a couple of times. You dont happen to know how the light section comes apart or have a parts catalog with an exploded diagram would you?

vibration damper

There is a lead vibration damper in that area above the windshield weighing 1.5 kg. It extends along the frame from approximately the center of one sun visor to the other. I'll guess that has come loose, or the rubber on the ends of it has rotted.

Perhaps the EPC shows a diagram of how it's secured in there? I do not know how to get to it.
