Combination Relay(s)
Can anybody tell me with specifics what the two SMALL relays do by the box? They are white
I am reading that they have some elements that affect window regulators, fuel pump, o2 sensor, sunroof, kickdown and more! I need to pull these buggers apart and check for potential problems. Does anybody know which one's (I believe there are two IIRC) control what? EDIT: M103/w124 |
I'm willing to try, but don't know which relays you're referring to. By "box" do you mean the main fuse/relay box on the left side firewall? In the W124/M103, there aren't any white relays in that box, only small aluminum cubes (as many as 6 of them). You must be referring to some other box.

psycho,
This is what it says for your car at ********: http://www.**********.com/search/product.aspx?sid=5mtnntqddgnaoqbdnzcjj055&makeid=800016@Mercedes&modelid=1194364@300TE&year=1988&cid =18@Electrical%20%26%20Vacuum&gid=3608@Multi-Purpose%20Relay/Combination%20Relay |
Cal Learner: Yes those aluminum boxes, sorry.
OZC36: Thats where I saw the information, but it just says "etc"...I wanted to know "exactly" what the list of functions are. I wonder if a finicky connection in there could be causing a slow surging idle. |

If you have the FSM, the description is in Group 24 under "Relays and Control Modules" at page 3. The empty D location is for headlight washer relay (which my car doesn't have) and the empty G location is for a relay only used in Coupes. |
^ That's awesome thanks. Guess there is not one for the O2 sensors and such as that site states?
I will for sure pull that window relay though as I have problems in both my cars with the rear windows not working. |
try replacing fuse #2....it worked for me
