Vacuum problem on 87 190e?

I have am 87 190e 2.3 with 250k miles.
I've been having a problem with the idle.
The rpms will rise and fall drastically and the engine will stall, usually while in drive.
I have removed and cleaned most of the vacuum connections, and just ran it for 20 minutes. That seems to help.
Any ideas?
