Weird window problem...Help

I made a video because describing it would be confusing I think.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsHoR0mEDQk

Just watch the 46 seconds it is. At the end you can hear the door "beep" when the button is pushed.

Its really weird. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

(a) I couldn't tell from the film, are the windows not moving? (don't hear the motors)
(b) where does the beep sound like it is coming from?
(c) which car?

None of them move (only the front passenger one works, rest do not work)
The beep is coming from drivers window, but it does not move.

Thank you for coming up with something new. I get tired of the same old problems so it's nice to read about something weird, something good enough for Click and Clack.

So, this beep happens only when the headlight switch is in the parking light position? Turning on the lights also turns on all of the instrument lights including the ones in the power window switches. The power window switches are illuminated through an electronic relay, N40, the "Instrument Illumination Control Unit," which lives behind the instrument cluster. It should have nothing to do with the power windows themselves unless there is a short circuit in one of the switches. The "beep" or "buzz" that you are hearing from the driver's door could be the window motor. It would not get enough current to operate via N40 but might be able to buzz a little.

Since the front passenger window works, your power window relay K4 (in the fuse/relay box under the hood) would seem to be good. Please check your fuses, especially fuses G and H, which power the windows. Don't just look at the fuses, actually take them out of their holders, make sure they aren't cracked or corroded. Let us know what you find.

My schematics show special switch illumination wiring for "260E/300E/300TE only" and I can't quite figure out what is different.

Now that, is an interesting problem. I'd have probably gone crazy and made monkey sounds at it.

Yes the beep ONLY happens when the lights are turned on. When the lights are off, it does NOT make the beep at all.

I replaced all the fuses in the box with brand new ones. I assumed the relay must be okay as well because otherwise none of the windows would work, right? EDIT: Oh and I must also mention I swapped the switches and it made no difference, so its not the switch.

Yes the beep is coming from inside the door, so it has to be the motor making the noise.

About this illumination relay, is it silver and sits below the factory radio? I vaguely remember seeing something when I replaced the radio a month ago...

Well without the ability to wind down the driver window, its making me go ape-crazy too. I feel awkward opening the door when paying for tickets and stuff. I feel that the person thinks I'm about to jump out and rob them.
