calling all experts

Hi all, I have a 1984 190D - doing a engine swap but my question is.. will the brakes and diff from a 1995 e320 wagon fit? I know I know search -- well I have and have read alot of threads and have seen alot of spreadsheets & PDF's with part numbers etc. Long story short I know alot of 16v 190's have the same diffs as the 124's but no has commented on the 1984 190d. this was one of the first years , my concern is that the rear diff will not work due to the axle length. since the Diff is from a 1995 e320(124) do I just look for some 1993 190 axles?

The Brake calipers seem to fit but when I put the disk on and tried to bolt up the caliper it seemed to be just shy of a 1/4 inch away from the mounting location. are the hubs diffrent? what all do i need to get from the e320 to make this work?
Also I will be cutting the springs from the e320 to match the length of my stock 190 springs - but the rear of the 320 has SLS and the springs apear small to me. Should i use the rear springs from the 320? would they be stiffer than the stock 190d rear springs?
All help is appreciated.
