switch removal
Good morning everyone. I need help again. I found a headlight switch that has all the markings on it in a junkyard. I wanted to replace mine but I don't want to mess up the one in the junkyard by experimenting on taking it out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It should come right out by pulling the switch.

Thanks. I'll try that out this weekend.

THE KNOB COMES OFF BY PULLING STRAIGHT BACK.THIS WILL REVEAL A LARGE NUT (I THINK 27MM)SLIP JOINT PLIERS WILL REMOVE NUT.
GIVE THE SWITCH A TWIST AND PULL FORWARD AND IT WILL HANG DOWN THROUGH THE FOOT WELL AREA WHERE YOU CAN REMOVE WIRING. EACH CONNECTION ON SWITCH IS NUMBERED SO AS YOU REMOVE A WIRE FROM YOUR EXISTING SWITCH YOU CAN ATTACH IT TO THE REPLACEMENT SWITCH.(THIS PART OF THE JOB IS BEST DONE WITH THE BATTERY NEG. CABLE REMOVED.) MF |
Thanks a lot. That is really helpful.
