Quick yes or no: (transmissions)
Can a Mercedes transmission be removed from the engine with the torque converter remaining bolted to the flywheel (flex plate) of the engine?

As far as I know yes!

As far as I know yes, but if you trashed the trans I would flush or replace.

For sure flush and all that. I have to R&R this donor transmission myself, but I'll get my mech. to put it in properly. Apparently there are some indexing guidlines to adhere to or it gets trashed on it's first spin.

I'm hoping that the engine attatched to the donor trans is good, then i'll just buy the works and do a direct swap.
