Has had wiring harness replaced, ECU refreshed, Idol motor replaced and blower.

Does not appear to have had a head gasket. Looks to be a fairly clean but not mint southern car. It drove really nice and smooth like it should and it was very quiet. Maint records are good but not great.

He is asking $4500. With a head gasket job hanging out there that seems a bit high. Any thoughts would be appreciated on what I should counter or anything I have missed in my analysis.

1. Wiring Harness -- Make sure it really was replaced, and not just that the seller is saying it was.

2. A/C Evaporator/Expansion Valve/Receiver & Switches -- expensive repair.

3. Head Gasket -- may never actually become a problem. I am at 227K and mine is fine. Front timing cover, however, may leak a bit.

1 & 2, if recently repaired/replaced, are worth paying extra for.

I'd say you're in the ballpark if in good condition, all including A/C works correctly, replaced wire harness, and not ugly colors.

I saw an itemized receipt for the ecu and harness

Make sure the parts are actually in the car though, especially if the seller is a dealer. (The wiring harness should be easy).
