W202, C220 Start Problem
 

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't! If I wait before engaging the starter, the red and green light, on the mirror, will start flashing and the car will not start. When I engage the starter before the lights start flashing, the car will start. My question is, what do the flashing lights mean and how do I repair this problem? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Do they flash simultaenously or alternate?

Alternate.... Any ideas? Thanks

Alternating would mean an unauthorized start was attempted; Sim would mean the key fob battery was weak.

Try locking and then unlocking the drivers door using the blade key.
