1988 560SEC Front Suspension Refresh
Hello again all im back after a great couple of months enjoying my car after the last fix you all were able to help me with "The Fuel Pump Relay issue". This time however its time to tackle a project ive been putting off for to long now. ever since i installed H&R Springs, Bilstien HD shocks and new brakes / calipers, I have noticed that over time ive acquired a clunking in the front end whenever I turn tightly or brake hard. Upon closer inspection ive realized that just about every bushing on the front suspension has had it. especially the bar that goes from the hub to a spot on the firewall directly behind the wheel. Im not sure exactly what this bar is called i believe it said in the manual it was a "Brake Assist Stabilizer" This poor thing is all eaten out and feels like when you go in reverse or forward that it can move in and out of its socket making a nice threaded scrape noise each time. the poor guy needs love guys what im asking you for is direction towards a kit to tackle this whole thing at once. my plan is to tackle the steering gearbox leak, exhaust manafold gaskets, spit shine the bottom end of the engine and fix my oil filter tower leak where it meets up with the block. So I ask of you, what do i need to refresh the front suspension system except for the springs and shocks. Thank you all
