Upper oil pan - 420SEL

Need to replace upper oil pan because it's cracked.

Anyone know the part number to the upper oil pan? Need to locate one around here.

1987 420SEL

Take a pic of the crack and post it. If it's not too bad, it can be TIG welded.

Can't take a picture of it right now, but that's an idea I haven't thought of.

Any advice on taking the upper oil pan off of a m117 engine?

It's an M116.

WAY more hassle to R&R the pan than it's worth. Just weld it and motor on.

My friend's 300SDL has had the oil pan cracked no less than 3 times. Luckily he's a welder.....
