1999 C280 cruise and ESP warning lights
I just bought my first MB... on day 2, the ABS and ESP warning lights came on while riding down the turnpike at 70mph. I stopped and started the car several times in the next couple days, and the light came on within 1 minute. Also, the cruise did not work. At the time, I did not think it was related. I tried the cruise several times (while the lights were on) and it did not work. Yesterday. I noticed the lights did NOT come on right away, but in about 2 minutes. This morning, same thing, light came on in 2-3 minutes. I stopped at a store, restarted, and the light did not come after 45 minutes of driving. Stopped at home, left for a 45 minute trip, and no lights. Went on another 30 minute trip, and no lights. I also tried the cruise control, and now it works. Any thoughts? (I know the previous owner personally, and the lights never came on for her)
2nd question, can anyone recommend a good shop manual for the '99 C280? Thanks. |

You should do a search. I think you will find you have different diameter tires. They need to be the same or it will throw that error (I think).
