It was kind of like how homeless guys get dogs so that people will give them money (to take care of the dogs) but with a car instead.

This guy had a 380 SE, something i had never seen before and didn't even know existed, and he was at this gas station. the only reason i didn't tell him to f**k of was because he had this benzo, so i had to know what the deal was. I noticed he was missing the drivers door handle, which i decided was a disgrace, so before i gave him anything i made him promise to get it fixed.

so am i a sucker or what?

there was this 300D in the college parking lot, missing every single trim piece on the car.... the following day, I donated almost everything needed, left my number on the box. I got a thankyou card on my windshield the following week

Did they ever put on the trim? If they did, awesome...if not, I'd hunt them down.

380SE is a pretty common car....though a lot less were sold than the diesels. Many more of the 380's have probably died off due to random gasser issues that people did not want to fix, or because of timing chain failure...which the original 380's were prone to.
