Lowered suspension issue 300ce

We have recently purchased a 300CE that has the suspension lowered with eibach springs

it also has Bilstein shocks.

It also has 17 inch wheels.

Here is the problem.... the right tire is hitting the underside of the fender when you go over certain bumps at certain speeds.. it is barely making contact with the fender

Is there a rubber bushing/spacer that can be placed inside the spring...just to offset a bit of compression..?

or can i resolve the problem by increasing/decreasing the tire pressure?

Our only other option would be to switch the 17's to 16's that we have on our other CE.

Oh this doesn't happen on the left tire.... they both have about the same clearance at 1 1/4 inches.

more likely to happen at speeds greater than 60 miles an hour on rougher parts of the interstate.... very occasionally around town at 40 mph

What size tires are installed?
Regardless of diameter they should be about 25" high.

Since 1988 I've run the stock 15", +1 17", +2 18" and now going back to 17".
With the correct size tire you should have no top rubbing.

If you are seeing the problem on one side only, then check the suspension bushings and shock mounts.
You may have a weak shock.

Also see if the camber is within factory spec.

The tires are 225-45-17... they are michelin h rated tires that replaced some z rated... my guess is that the other tires were worn down just enough to avoid this issue..

i will get the camber checked....
